Meet us in the ROCK YOUTH BUILDING to start the day off right with our COFFEE BAR -- SHIPLEY'S seems to make it there every week too! We begin in THE SUMMIT with announcements and ECHO 150 leading us in song. We kick off our LARGE GROUP lesson before breaking into High School (HS) & Junior High (JH) SMALL GROUPS by grade. We use XP3 as our curriculum, which provides us SCOPE & SEQUENCE to our ministry at Windwood. XP3 wants to help each student see God for who He is, to see themselves the way God sees them and to love others the way He loves us.
We finish up around 10:45 AM & would love for you to join us at the 11 AM service down in the worship center.
6:10 PM to 8 PM
This Sunday evening meeting time usually has an organic feel to it and is designed for our high school students to go deeper in their faith.
Sometimes we will have guest speakers, whether that be one of our pastors, alumni, or even one of our seniors who are hoping to pass the torch as they ready themselves for their next chapter.
We spend part of the time hanging out with conversations, games & music as well. This is a great time for our high school ministry to reconnect and recharge before the week kicks off!
Dinner ($5) in the Worship Center (Fellowship Hall) then head down to the Rock (Youth Building).
HS: Bible Study in the Summit.
JH: Free time in the game room & gym (supervised, of course).
HS: Free time in the game room & gym (chaperoned)
JH: Bible Study in the Journey.
Wrap up and head home!
Our youth worship team is called, Echo 150 and we are so proud of our youth for working together in order to maximize both the gifts they have been given and the skills they are developing, through instruments, singing, and sound tech!
Echo 150 is open to both JH & HS students who are willing to work together and lead with kindness.
Echo 150 usually rehearses twice weekly, Sunday mornings and Sunday afternoons -- but if you would like to get involved and stay up to date with what is going on -- join our band on BAND. Click here to get started.
Sundays at 9:30 AM beginning Feb 10th:
Confirmation offers students in 8TH GRADE & ABOVE the ability to take a course specifically to explore & bolster their faith. Your student will have the opportunity to learn more about her/his faith & ask questions in a welcoming environment. Confirmation is also the way that your student can formally join our church family. This time together (6 weeks) provides us the chance to major on the majors. Class participants can be confirmed upon completion of their own Statement of Faith (what they believe based on what they understand at this season of life). Please be praying & feel free to ask us any questions you have pertaining to this important aspect of your student’s faith journey. Sign up below if you think that you would like to participate this year!
Each year we select interns from a great group of applicants. This is a paid internship that usually runs from about the beginning of June through mid-August. Interns get a chance to LEAD, BUILD relationships, PLAN an event (Mess Fest) and DISCOVER if God is calling them to ministry! If you would like to apply for the summer of 2019, please use the link below! Applications should be emailed to:
Ryan Reitzammer, Director of Youth Ministries
We are starting up a RENT-A-YOUTH program to help you come up with the funds you need for camp or missions. Payments go to WINDWOOD with your name in the memo line after work is completed. We connect you with the opportunity & you schedule & complete the assignment.
Sometimes times are tough. We want to help. Please click the button below for our Rock Youth Ministry Scholarship Application. Completed applications must to turned in 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT DEADLINE to be considered. We do not EVER want money to be the reason that you do not join us -- so please, HELP US HELP YOU!
Please return applications to “Youth” Mailbox outside of the Church office, or electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org
• A separate application should be submitted for each youth each summer.
• Applications will be reviewed by a panel of three Church Members involved in Youth Ministry.
